This time, we have something quite special to announce: the re-launch of the TRKC website with lots of new and improved features, which we presented at the Transport Research Arena 2008. Find out more below…

TRKC at Transport Research Arena 2008 in Ljubljana

The Transport Research Arena (TRA) 2008 brought together members of industry, researchers, transport users, NGOs, policy makers, EU Member States and other government delegations. The Transport Research Knowledge Centre used this occasion to present its new website on the European Commission stand.

Commissioner Potocnik with TRKC teamOn the opening day, Mr. Janez Potočnik, EU Commissioner for Science and Research, also visited the TRKC stand.

The TRA 2008 offered a good opportunity to raise awareness about the TRKC portal among transport research professionals. Our team had the opportunity to introduce the new website to interested visitors and to discuss stakeholders’ needs for future development. There was a general appreciation of the service offered by TRKC, although it became also clear that its use within the research community and among decision makers is not yet as widespread as it could be.

So let us know what you think about the re-launched portal — and spread the word about TRKC! A growing and lively community will ensure continuous improvements to the quantity and quality of the information available on our website.
